O'Connors Bakery celebrating 60 Years in business

O’ Connor’s Bakery- celebrating 60 years in great baking!

O’Connor’s Bakery, a family run business based in Co. Clare celebrated 60 years in business in August 2021. They are famous for serving traditional fresh breads, delicious cakes and pastries to their customers in Ennis, Shannon, Limerick, Gort and Galway. All their products are handmade with care and attention by a highly-trained team of in-house bakers, with a strong focus on warm, friendly customer service.

O’Connor’s Bakery was established in Ennis in 1961 by Pat & Mary O’Connor. The first bakery was situated behind the first shop in Parnell Street, Ennis. Obviously like most successful family business it has evolved and changed over the past 45 years. O Connor’s Bakery now employs approximately 125 people. Three of Pat and Mary O’Connor’s children are actively involved in the bakery, one of them, Ann Marie, is an award-winning confectioner and all of their 11 grandchildren have worked in the bakery and shops on Saturdays and School Holidays

Over the years, O’Connor’s have expanded their range particularly in the area of celebration cakes. These cakes are still mixed by hand their master bakers according to tried-and-tested recipes and then decorated, again by hand, by highly-trained confectioners, resulting in the perfect combination of past and present.
